After a topsy turvy pre-season and change in management structure Legacy got back to football with their first pre-season friendly on a wind-swept Bottisham pitch. A number of familiar faces had survived the summer and some new faces were welcomed to the setup, all the subs were roll on roll off with everyone getting an equal amount of minutes on the pitch. The first pre-season game was a chance for everyone to work each other out and get some match practice.

The game showed some of the best and worst of Legacy, at times the football was a joy to behold and other times it was all too apparant that the group of players would need more games together. Both strikers got on the scoresheet with composed finishes from Sam Asplen and Marvin Beckett, but the shape nowhere to be seen for the goals conceded.

An encouraging debut from Scott Jakes saw him unlucky to put the ball in his own net from a Kitsonians cross. A Legacy player of the past Prince Murandu returned and looked good on the wing with some good tracking and linking well. New signings Oli Brittain and Simon Garner impressed and showed some good creativity.

Legacy didn't come out of this game with many positives but can be pleased with some of the football played, they have 2 more pre-season games to get things right ready for their first season in the newly named Tucker Gardner Premiership.
