The invinceables of the 09/10 League season looked anything but today as Legacy fell to one of their heaviest defeats of recent seasons. Goalkeeper Ricky Timms was unavailable, but stand in Andy Burns could do nothing about any of the 8 goals he saw go past him.

Legacy went 2-0 down early on through a penalty and short back pass which gifted Surff an early lead, there was a small consolotion when a ball from right-back Shane Rackham eluded the Surff defence and Marvin Beckett cooly rounded the keeper to make it 2-1. But Legacy were only back in it for a small amount of time before Surff made it 3-1.

The start to the second half was surprisingly one of the Legacy spells of the season, they dominated play and created numerous chances spreading the ball out wide with crosses causing the Surff defence all sorts of problems. For some reason nothing fell for Legacy after this point and Surff seemed to score at will

It's hard to pinpoint where things went wrong for Legacy, a number of goals were gifted to Surff and they had some good attacks, but overall it wasn't good enough from any department. Legacy will need to get this out of their heads quickly ready for a home match against title chasers West End next week.
