After a year at the helm Andy Burns has stepped down from his management duties. His wife Amanda is also stepping down as treasurer. The club has been run as efficiently as it can be under their stewardship for the last year and we are sad to see them go. Both will still be involved on match days. I'm sure everyone at the club will agree they have gone above and beyond the call of duty this season and their hard work has been appreciated.
Danny Smith who has been assistant this season will take over as manager, with Shane Rackham becoming his assistant and also the club secretary. Plans for next season are underway.

Manager James "Pru" Burns has resigned from his position of manager at Chesterton Legacy. Following 2 seasons of unprecedented success he has decided to call it a day to spend more time with his family. Pru steadied the ship of a team that was falling apart and managed to turn them into a dominant force in both the Cambridge Friendly League and also the Tucker Gardner Alliance League. Probably his most memorable achievement was the Cup victory at Soham which was a great day for both players and everyone connected at the club. Everyone at Legacy would like to say a massive thank you for everything he has put in over the last few years and wish him all the best, we hope to still see him around the club. An announcement will be made in the near future regarding the new manager and pre-season training.

It was announced yesterday that Chesterton Legacy are the Alliance League team of the month for September! After smashing in 41 goals in their first 5 games and holding the only 100% record across the league, it was a clear choice. Not a bad feat for their first season in this division. Club representatives will pick up the award at the end of the year.
